A shelter in Belo Horizonte was built inspired by Father Eustáquio.

In December 2013, the structure that now houses CAPE was erected. Its creator, José Marcílio Nunes, a devotee of Father Eustáquio, had a dream in which Father Eustáquio asked him to care for children with cancer. He heeded the call and transformed the dream into reality. A dream that today meets the needs of dozens of people.

CAPE, Casa de Acolhida Padre Eustáquio, provides shelter in Belo Horizonte for children, adolescents, and their caregivers during treatment for cancer and other non-communicable diseases, offering an extension of their homes with housing, food, transportation, and multidisciplinary care, all with a humanized and individualized approach.

Far from their homes and weakened by illness, those sheltered by CAPE are referred by hospitals in Belo Horizonte, coming from all over Brazil, but mostly from cities in the interior of Minas Gerais.

CAPE relies on financial donations and the commitment of partners, companies, and civil society. You too can help this work, inspired by Father Eustáquio, to continue.
