On the second day of our series on the Spirituality of Father Eustace, we continue to speak of the Blessed One's firm trust in the Holy Trinity, this time in Christ, coupled with Father Eustace's love for Our Lord Jesus.

The love of God that inflamed Father Eustace's soul was by no means a speculative or abstract love. It was a true and concrete love for Christ and for his Holy Cross.

His words on this subject constitute a true and excellent mystical doctrine. On one occasion he wrote:“Jesus, in You I trust, in You I hope, in You I believe. At the foot of the Holy Cross, remembering the groans of our divine Savior, let us meditate on our crosses and ask for strength to carry ours with joy and satisfaction.”.

Trust in Jesus can be seen in another writing left by the Blessed One: “O my Jesus, I love you with your cross, with your suffering, with your immense love..”
