The brothers of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, who carry out their missionary work in Brazil and Paraguay, are gathered in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte for the General Assembly of the Province. During these 5 days, the brothers are taking stock of the work carried out and creating a schedule of activities for 2023.

About twenty brothers, including priests, deacons, brothers and postulants, have been gathered at the Retiro das Rosas (Salesians), in Cachoeira do Campo, Ouro Preto, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte since last Monday (09/01/23). Coordinated by the provincial, Fr. Osvânio Humberto Mariano, sscc, the work focuses on the presentation of activities carried out throughout 2022 and the program of activities of the province's houses for 2023.

In addition to religious activities, the Assembly also includes moments for accountability and review of documents related to the Congregation and the Church, as well as an exchange of experiences among the participants.

The meeting, which ends this Friday, is held annually by the priests and brothers. In 2021, the assembly was held in Pindamonhangaba, São Paulo. Last year, during a period when the virus was less prevalent, the brothers met in the same location (Ouro Preto-MG), in April.
