Deacon Vitor Henrique Borges, SSCC, will receive the sacrament of Holy Orders next Saturday, the 19th, at the Nossa Senhora de Fátima church – São Damião de Molokai Parish, in Patrocínio. The celebration will be presided over by the Bishop of Patos de Minas, Dom Cláudio Nori Sturm, OFM.

The ceremony in which Bishop Cláudio will lay hands on Vitor will take place at 6 PM and will be broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel on YouTube. Family, friends, and fellow members of the Congregation are expected to attend the Holy Mass in person.

Vitor Henrique Borges was born in Patrocínio, Minas Gerais (Brazil), on November 23, 1992. Son of João Silvestres Borges and Aura Alves Araújo Borges. He joined the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in 2014. He completed his novitiate in Peru in 2017 and professed his temporary vows in 2018. In February 2021, after completing his academic studies in Belo Horizonte, he moved to the Sacred Hearts community in Patrocínio-MG, where he professed his perpetual vows in December 2021. At the beginning of this year, he carried out his pastoral experience at the Salvador del Mundo Parish in Asunción (Paraguay), where he received his Diaconal Ordination. Now as Deacon Vitor, he moved to the Nossa Senhora do Desterro Parish in the Campo Grande neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro-RJ, where he currently carries out his pastoral work.
