November 3rd is the day to celebrate the birth of Father Eustáquio. The priest of the Sacred Hearts is Dutch, from the city of Aarle Rixtel, and if he were alive, he would be turning 132 years old.

In Belo Horizonte, where Father Eustáquio's tomb is located, three masses will be celebrated throughout the day: at 7 am, 12 pm, and 7 pm, with the last one being broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel on YouTube. The Memorial, where the Blessed's Sacred Relics are kept, can be visited from 6:30 am to 8 pm.

Festival in Romaria-MG

The city of Romaria, in the Alto Paranaíba region of Minas Gerais, also celebrates the birth of Father Eustáquio. The municipality, formerly Água Suja, was where the priest carried out his first apostolate in Brazil.

At the Chapel of Peace, belonging to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Abbey, there will be a mass at 7 pm followed by the opening of the novena. On the same day, devotees will present the program "Praying for You" on the Sanctuary's YouTube channel, a special edition for Father Eustáquio's birthday. On November 5th, next Saturday, at 4 pm, the traditional walk between the cities of Monte Carmelo and Romaria will take place. Devotees will gather in front of Cooxupé. This will be the 12th edition of the event.

The festivities in the city, with masses and the Novena meditation every day at 7 pm, will continue until November 12th.

Father Eustace van Lieshout was born in Aarle Rixtel, Netherlands, on November 3, 1890. His baptismal name was Hubertus van Lieshout. He was born into a large and very religious family. Of the nine children, in addition to Father Eustace, three of his sisters also followed the vocation. His parents were Mr. William and Mrs. Elizabeth. He was baptized on the same day he was born. In 1901, he received his First Communion and was confirmed in 1904. Approaching his 15th birthday, in 1905, he entered the Seminary of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts.
