An electronic candle stand has been installed near the former tomb of Father Eustáquio, in the Sanctuary of Health and Peace. The idea is that the faithful can light candles and pray for the Blessed Father inside the temple as well.
The votive candle stand is a base with virtual candles that replace wax candles lit with real fire. This is the best option for use inside the church because it does not involve fire, so it can be placed more safely near pews and wooden furniture. Furthermore, the virtual candle is environmentally friendly and does not pollute the environment.

Lighting a candle and saying your prayers is very easy; simply insert a coin of any value into the designated space. Therefore, instead of buying a candle, the devotee places the coin in the candle holder, causing one of the candles to light. If the faithful wish to light more than one candle, they simply need to place more than one coin.
Virtual candles have the same devotional value as real candles, since both are for God and therefore have the same importance. In the Catholic Church, candles symbolize Jesus' call for us to be the light of the world. Thus, candles symbolize our living faith, which helps to illuminate the darkness of the world.
Candle Prayer
Father Eustáquio wrote a short prayer about candles in one of his notebooks. The idea is that each devotee, when lighting a candle, wherever they may be, should say this prayer with faith and trust.
“Candles are like symbolic prayer. With candles we ask God to illuminate our hearts with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the grace of the Holy Spirit. Lord, may this candle ignite divine love in our hearts, purify us from all stain, and grant us a share in the blessed light of heaven that never fades. Ask and you shall receive. Amen!”
