The Hemoservice, Blood Bank, released a report with information about the external blood drive held at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace on August 26th. The drive was part of the program for the 2022 Feast of Blessed Father Eustáquio.
In total, 98 people attended the blood drive, with 90 eligible to donate. The material collected at the Sanctuary could save the lives of up to 360 people who need blood or some hematological component.
Those who were unable to participate in the blood drive at the Sanctuary but wish to donate can visit the Hemoservice website. Simply schedule an appointment through: hemoservice.com.br.
It is important to remember that blood is essential for urgent treatments and interventions and may be necessary, among other cases, in severe anemia, serious hemorrhages, third-degree burns, and hemophilia.
