Father Marcus Vinícius Maciel, sscc, rector of the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace, is the guest priest presiding over the 8th day of the Jubilee Novena to Our Lady of Pity, patron saint of Minas Gerais. The Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Basilica, atop the Serra da Piedade mountain range in Caeté, and will be broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel on YouTube., WATCH HERE.

The Feast of Our Lady of Piety began on September 4th and will continue until next Thursday, the 15th. The program includes masses, adorations, recitation of the Holy Rosary, and pilgrimages to the Basilica Sanctuary in Caeté-MG.

This year, the theme of the festival is "In the lap of Our Lady of Piety, the world finds true peace!" and the special program will take place at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Piety in Caeté, and at the Christ the King Cathedral – Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte. On September 15th, at the Cathedral in Belo Horizonte, Our Lady of Piety will be proclaimed Patroness of the Archdiocese. The celebration will be presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop, Dom Walmor Oliveira de Azevedo, who will read a document sent by Pope Francis.
