Brother Wanderson de Souza Alves, ss.cc., will be ordained a deacon this Monday evening, August 29th. The ceremony will take place during the Holy Mass at 7 PM, coinciding with the 9th Day of the Novena to Blessed Father Eustace, at the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
The Eucharist will be presided over by Dom Aloísio Jorge Pena Vitral, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Sete Lagoas-MG. It is expected that brothers and sisters of the Congregation, coming from various parts of the country, will participate in the ordination in the capital of Minas Gerais, in addition to the parish community. After his ordination, Brother Wanderson will participate in the Father Eustáquio Day celebrations in Belo Horizonte and, the following day, will be sent to his new mission in the city of Patrocínio, in the Alto Paranaíba region of Minas Gerais.

Wanderson de Souza Alves was born in the city of Rio de Janeiro on April 14, 1993. Son of
Francisco Carlos Alves and Sheila Gama de Souza Alves (In memoriam). He joined the Congregation in 2012. He completed his novitiate in 2015 in Cerrillos de Curacavi – Chile, and professed his first vows on January 17, 2016, at the Nossa Senhora do Desterro Parish in Campo Grande-RJ. He is a member of the religious community of the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, where he works pastorally. He made his Perpetual Profession on January 16, 2021, at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte. He completed his Theology studies in 2021 at the Jesuit Faculty.
