A blood donation drive is being held at the Padre Eustáquio Church.

As part of the 2022 Father Eustace Day celebrations, the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, Church of Blessed Father Eustace, in partnership with Hemoservice – Hemotherapy Service, held a blood drive. The service was carried out in one of the church's halls.

The collection took place by prior appointment; more than 100 people registered to donate, in addition to volunteers who came forward throughout the day. The initiative takes place during the month of Father Eustáquio, the missionary of Health and Peace, and aims to help blood banks that are running low on supplies.

Blood donation is extremely important in healthcare. One donor can save up to 4 lives, helping in the treatment of patients and in complex and major medical interventions, such as transplants, transfusions, surgeries, and cancer treatments.
