The weekend was filled with prayer and celebration at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte. As part of the celebrations for the month of Father Eustáquio, devotees gathered around Our Lady of the Abbey, a devotion of the Blessed, whose liturgical date was celebrated yesterday.

On Friday, devotees participated in Holy Mass at 7 pm, opening the three-day preparatory period for the feast. On this day, there were food stalls and a beautiful moment of fellowship among the community. On Saturday, Mass was held at 5 pm, the second day of the three-day period, followed by food stalls. On Sunday, the third day of preparation, there were games in the square and the traditional coffee break at the Community Center.

Yesterday, August 15th, masses throughout the day celebrated the Mother of God under the title of Our Lady of the Abbey. At 7 pm, a Solemn Mass was held, presided over by Fr. Silvano Dias de Ávila, ss.cc., concelebrated by Fr. Alexandre Campos Leite, ss.cc., and attended by the entire religious and lay community that forms the Parish of the Sacred Hearts. After the celebration, the faithful went out into the streets of the neighborhood in a luminous procession. Upon arrival, fireworks, applause, and many tributes were paid to Our Lady of the Abbey.
