The Holy Mass opening the month of Father Eustáquio was celebrated by the rector of the Sanctuary and responsible for the Cause of Canonization, Father Vinicius Maciel, ss.cc. The celebration included the participation of the choir of the Church of Father Eustáquio, the presentation of the poster for families to join the festivities, and the Father Eustáquio Oratory as part of this year's program.

Right at the beginning of the celebration, the faithful devotees of Father Eustáquio were delighted by the choir formed by volunteers who sing at the celebrations in the Church of Father Eustáquio. They performed from the central choir located at the entrance of the temple. Throughout the Holy Mass, Father Vinícius encouraged the devotees for this year's festivities. For two years they were unable to fully experience the celebrations surrounding the memory of Father Eustáquio, but now, the faithful will be able to actively participate in the celebrations.

During the homily, the rector showed the Father Eustáquio Oratory, which will travel to the homes of devotees throughout the months. One person will register as the Guardian of the Oratory and will be responsible for the chapel's visits with the image to each house.

At the end of the Holy Mass, the priest and ministers also distributed a small poster advertising participation in the 2022 Padre Eustáquio Festival. It is a pamphlet, like those used for the Christmas novena, to be posted on the doors of houses, showing passersby in the streets or hallways of buildings that the family is celebrating the 2022 Padre Eustáquio Festival.
