On the evening of Thursday, July 7th, representatives from pastoral groups and movements connected to the Sanctuary of Health and Peace met in the Community Center hall to evaluate the Patron Saints' Festival and plan the Feast of Father Eustáquio. The meeting was fruitful, full of new ideas and brimming with spirituality.
The rector of the Sanctuary, Father Vinícius Maciel, ss.cc., opened the meeting with a prayer and a summary of the Patron Saints' festival. He provided a full accounting of the festival's sales and expenses during the ten days of celebration. Members of the organizational and structural team also presented their impressions and the results of the festival, which was considered a success by all.
Next, the priests and brothers of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts suggested points to be studied for a more spiritual program at this year's Father Eustace Festival. The idea is to create a program that covers the entire month of August. Among the ideas are: working with families, with businesses, and especially with the devotees and visitors who always attend the festival.
An outline of the schedule will be described in the coming days, and this document will be used to guide the work, which should begin on July 30th.
