Do you remember Father Eustáquio's old tomb at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace? It was located right at the entrance of the church, next to the main doors.
The mortal remains of Father Eustáquio were buried at the site in 1949. The transfer took place almost six years after the death of the Dutch priest, on August 30, 1943, when he was buried in the Bonfim Cemetery in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
Father Eustáquio's body remained buried in the church's old tomb until 2007, when the Memorial in honor of the Blessed was built, where the mortal remains of the Blessed are now located.
The Padre Eustáquio Memorial is today a place of devotion to the Blessed One, where devotees go to pray and pay homage to him.
If you live in Belo Horizonte and haven't yet visited the Memorial, it's located next to the Sanctuary of Health and Peace and can be visited every day from 7 am to 8 pm.
