Until June 1st, the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, Padre Eustáquio Church, will be collecting warm clothes, blankets, and winter clothing in general to donate to people in need. The initiative came from the Penna Imóveis company and relies on the collaboration of volunteers in collecting the materials.
Starting last weekend, the campaign aims to collect clothes, coats, and blankets in good condition. With the slogan "Your donation warms a heart," the company and the Sanctuary want to help people in need, especially now that the capital of Minas Gerais has recorded the lowest temperatures in recent years. On the morning of Wednesday, May 18th, Belo Horizonte recorded its lowest temperature for the month of May since the beginning of the historical record in 1961. Thermometers registered 6.7ºC and the wind chill, according to INMET, reached -13.6ºC.
To make your donation, simply go to a collection point at the Sanctuary or at Penna Imóveis (Rua Padre Eustáquio, 2408). For more information, call or send a WhatsApp message to: (31) 99125-4311.
