Next Friday, Catholics around the world celebrate the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ. Among the events planned by the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace is the Stations of the Cross, which will take place starting at 7:00 AM in the Padre Eustáquio neighborhood of Belo Horizonte.

The entire community and devotees of Padre Eustáquio are invited to reflect on the Stations of the Cross, on the day the church commemorates the death of Jesus. Scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM at the corner of Pará de Minas and Vila Rica streets, the event will be a time for meditation and reflection, contemplating the stations along the streets of the neighborhood.

The Stations of the Cross book, edited by the team of the National Secretariat for the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustace, will be used as a resource. The work offers reflections on the passion and death of Jesus based on texts and prayers of the Dutch priest. The book contains the 15 stations that go from the condemnation to the resurrection of Jesus, with meditations extracted from writings and homilies of Father Eustace.

The Stations of the Cross is one of the ways to experience the spirituality of Lent. It is based on Jesus' journey carrying his cross to Calvary. For those who wish to purchase the Stations of the Cross "Love, pray, do penance," the booklet can be found at Padre Eustáquio's Store, attached to the Sanctuary of Health and Peace. The store's WhatsApp number is (31) 3567-0314. Please note that the store will be closed on Friday, so it is recommended that people purchase in advance.
