Priests resume hearing individual confessions at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte.

Starting this Wednesday, February 23rd, the priests of the Padre Eustáquio Church will resume hearing confessions from devotees who wish to go to the Sanctuary individually. Confessions will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, on a first-come, first-served basis, inside the church.

Individual confessions had been suspended at the end of last month due to the increase in the Coronavirus transmission rate in Belo Horizonte. As the days passed, the numbers decreased, making it possible for priests to hear confessions at the church.

Instituted by Jesus Christ himself, the Sacrament of Confession is a return to God. Those who approach the sacrament of penance obtain, through divine mercy, forgiveness for the offense committed against the Lord and, at the same time, are reconciled with the Church they have wounded, collaborating in the conversion from their sins through charity, example, and prayer.
