2021 ended as a difficult year, but one of great learning for people all over the world. For the second year, we lived through a pandemic that has already claimed millions of victims, destroyed families, divided people, and tested our faith. But our hope is in the Lord.

Just as 2021 ended and a new year has begun, so too is born in our hearts the hope for better days. The hope that 2021 will remain for us as a memory and as an experience to always live with our eyes fixed on the Lord.

We hope that 2022 will be a year of more hugs, more smiles, and more love among people. As Father Eustáquio so aptly wrote….

“Let us enter the new year with a clean heart, free from guilt, resentment, envy, hatred, and ill will. For us, the New Year must be a pure year, a year of brotherhood, a year of friendship with God and with our neighbor. Ultimately, a year rich in merits for earth and heaven!”
