Learn about the history of the temporary church established by Father Eustáquio in Belo Horizonte.

In April 1943, Father Eustáquio adapted a house to house the activities of the newly established Parish of the Sacred Hearts. All the celebrations of that religious community were held in the new church.

The temporary church was nothing more than one of the houses in the Celeste Império neighborhood (now the Padre Eustáquio neighborhood), and everything indicates that the property was lent by a family until the new church was ready. It was located near the land where the Sacred Hearts Parish Church was being built. For those familiar with the area, the location is exactly where the Araújo Pharmacy is today, on Padre Eustáquio Street, at the corner of Perdizes Street.

The final celebrations for the Blessed One were held in this temporary church. Father Eustáquio's wake was also held there.
