Among the material being restored and cataloged for the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustace, a book of donations for the costs of the Beatification and Canonization process of the Dutch priest was found.

Dated 1956, the book "Jewels for the Beatification and Canonization of the late Father Eustáquio van Lieshout" features on its first page a message from the then-President of Brazil, Juscelino Kubitschek. In the writing, JK affirms that the cause of the Dutch priest deserves the highest esteem in the country.

Juscelino had great affection and friendship for Father Eustáquio. He attributed two graces received by his family to the Blessed Father: the cure of a throat problem that the politician had and his wife's pregnancy, as she had been unable to conceive.

The cataloging work began in January of this year and is only possible thanks to the support of devotees. Continue helping us keep the story of Father Eustáquio alive among us.
