Starting this week, more people will be able to participate in celebrations at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace in Belo Horizonte. The city hall of the Minas Gerais capital issued a decree reducing the safety distance between people from two meters to one meter, among other relaxations. Because of this, the capacity to receive worshippers during a mass has increased.
The number of pews in the church has increased, and social distancing has now been modified. Each pew can now accommodate one person at each end and a third person in the middle (all from different family groups); another option is for two couples (from different family groups) to sit on the same pew, always at the ends; another situation is for three people from the same household to sit at one end and one (from another family group) at the other; and a final situation is for people from the same family group or who see each other daily to sit on the same pew, respecting the maximum limit of five people per pew.
For access to the celebrations, the Sanctuary continues to distribute tickets at the Parish Office and on Sympla. For weekday masses, tickets can be picked up every Monday, and for weekend masses, every Wednesday, both in person and online.
The other recommendations regarding hand and shoe hygiene, as well as the use of masks throughout the stay in the temple, remain in effect and ensure the health and safety of everyone.
