CELEBRATORY ITINERARY – 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

CELEBRATORY ITINERARY – 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Next Sunday, September 12th, the liturgy proposes reflecting on "the victory of the true Messiah of God, the
"Suffering Servant, who, rejecting the power schemes of this passing world, opened for us the gates of mortality through his death and resurrection.".

In the Gospel (Mark 8:27-35), Jesus exhorts: “'If anyone wants to follow me, he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will lose it.'‘.

To properly celebrate this moment, the script for the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time is now available, a resource provided by the Episcopal Pastoral Commission for Liturgy of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB).

At the Health and Peace Sanctuary, there are three times when masses are broadcast via... Padre Eustáquio Channel (Saturday at 6 PM and Sunday at 10 AM and 6 PM) which we can follow along with this script, experiencing the dignity of the priestly people that our baptism conferred upon us. We should not only follow along, but CELEBRATE the Lord's Day with our families.
