Parish priest from Guarapari visits the Health and Peace Sanctuary in Belo Horizonte.

The parish priest of the Blessed Father Eustace Parish in Guarapari, Espírito Santo, Father Márcio Ferreira de Souza, visited the Health and Peace Sanctuary in Belo Horizonte this Tuesday (August 17). The visit takes place four days before the start of the patron saint's festival in both locations.

Father Márcio arrived early at the Church of Father Eustáquio, in the capital of Minas Gerais. He was received by the person responsible for the Cause of Canonization, Fr. Vinícius Maciel, SSCC, who took the parish priest to important places within the Sanctuary. Father Márcio visited the Father Eustáquio Memorial and learned about the restoration and cataloging work of the objects that belonged to the religious figure.

Next, the two visited Padre Eustáquio's shop and met to exchange ideas regarding the Padre Eustáquio festival in both cities. Father Márcio also brought promotional materials about devotion to the Blessed, as well as objects and images of the Blessed.

The festivities at the parish in Espírito Santo also begin next Saturday, the 21st, with the First Day of the Novena. The parish headquarters are located in Concha D'ostra, in the Santa Margarida neighborhood, in Guarapari.

The Blessed Father Eustace Parish was founded in September 2016 by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Vitória, Dom Luiz Mancilha Vilela, SSCC. Besides the local devotion to the Blessed, the parish is also quite popular with people from Minas Gerais who frequently visit the beaches of Guarapari, on the Espírito Santo coast.
