In-person Masses are once again being held at the Health and Peace Sanctuary.

In-person Masses are once again being held at the Health and Peace Sanctuary.

In-person masses at the Health and Peace Sanctuary, Padre Eustáquio Church, will resume this Saturday, April 24th. This decision came after the mayor of Belo Horizonte, Alexandre Kalil, announced on Monday the 19th the reopening of commerce in the capital of Minas Gerais. According to the city hall's resolution, churches are now allowed to open to the public for services.

Regarding the return of in-person masses, the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte released new guidelines for churches on Wednesday, April 21st. The document, signed by the auxiliary bishop of the capital, Dom Joaquim Giovani Mol Guimarães, emphasizes the importance of complying with the determinations of the health authorities in order to preserve everyone's safety.

Given these new rules, the number of people allowed inside the church during a service will be reduced. Only 130 will be able to attend each mass, respecting the public authorities' definition of 7 m² per person inside the church.

In addition, the document maintains basic precautions such as temperature checks at the entrance, hand and shoe sanitization, and mandatory mask use at all times.

The recommendation is that children and people over 60 years of age do not participate in in-person celebrations. It is also prohibited for people who present any flu-like symptoms to attend Mass.

With the reduction in the number of participants per celebration, the Health and Peace Sanctuary will increase the number of masses, with the goal of serving as many faithful as possible.

To participate in the celebrations, it is mandatory to obtain a ticket. It will be available here on our website (homepage) or at the parish office.

Remember that we will continue to broadcast the masses daily through... Padre Eustáquio Channel, on YouTube, for those who cannot attend the celebrations in person.
