Football team honors Father Eustáquio in its name and colors.

Founded in January 2011, Padre Eustáquio Futebol Clube currently competes in the third division of the amateur championship in Belo Horizonte. The idea behind forming the team was to honor the Blessed Father Eustáquio, who lived in the neighborhood until 1943, when he died of Spotted Fever.

The team's colors (black, yellow, and white) were inspired by the vestments of Father Eustáquio. Like him, the association that bears the Blessed's name has a social purpose. The team holds the "Solidarity Match" and the "Feijoada with Samba," and everything raised is donated to social institutions in the neighborhood.

The organization was also created with the mission of reviving amateur football in the Padre Eustáquio neighborhood.
