The vice-postulator of the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustáquio, Fr. Vinícius Maciel, SSCC, visited the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Poá, São Paulo state, this past weekend. This parish was the site of Father Eustáquio's pastoral work between 1935 and 1941. (read more about the Blessed One's life)
During the courtesy visit, Father Vinícius visited the main church, the grotto built by the Dutch priest, and a monument erected in honor of the city's first parish priest. The vice-postulator also visited the... Father Eustáquio Museum and witnessed firsthand the work of preserving and displaying the belongings of the religious figure.
Everything was closely monitored by the Museum's coordinator, Delcimar Ferreira. The roof renovation of the historic mansion was also discussed during the visit.
The two were accompanied by religious members of the Congregation, by Father João Henrique, SSCC, and by volunteers from the Museum in Poá.
