Father Eustáquio's Church distributes toys to registered families.

This week, the Health and Peace Sanctuary, known as the Church of Father Eustáquio, prepared all the food baskets for the families served by the "Ladies of Charity." The food and, especially, the toys were collected from the parish community over the past few days.

Around 110 families are registered with the Ladies' Church and receive a monthly donation of a basic food basket. This month, because of Christmas, the church held a campaign to collect toys to include in the baskets, as is done every year.

Due to the pandemic, many volunteers were unable to help organize the food baskets, and the work was supplemented by the brothers and sisters of the Congregation this week. To all who contributed, our sincerest thanks!

The Ladies of Charity

Conceived by Blessed Father Eustáquio in the early 1940s in Belo Horizonte, the work of helping the poor has always been a great concern of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts and the entire parish community. Father Eustáquio always helped those most in need with food, work, paying overdue bills, or with his prayers and spiritual guidance. The work continued, and you can read the complete story here. read here.
