The Sanctuary of Health and Peace, known as the Padre Eustáquio Church, is mobilizing the community to collect toys that will be donated to underprivileged children served by the "Ladies of Charity".
The idea is to give a small gift to the children of the families who already receive monthly food baskets donated by the institution. Currently, just over 100 families are registered with the Ladies of Charity to receive food monthly, and in December, the intention is to include a toy with the basket for these children.
Toys can be used, but must be in perfect working condition. They are being received at the Parish Office of the Sanctuary daily: Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 5:30 pm, and on Saturdays until 12 pm. On Sundays, items can be left at the church or at the Padre Eustáquio store, attached to the church.
Ladies of Charity
Conceived by Blessed Father Eustáquio in the early 1940s in Belo Horizonte, the work of helping the poor has always been a great concern of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts and the entire parish community. Father Eustáquio always helped those most in need with food, work, paying overdue bills, or with his prayers and spiritual guidance. The work continued, and you can read the complete story here. read here.
