The Commission for the Spiritual and Historical Heritage of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts met on September 24th at the General House on Via Aurélia (where the sisters live). They evaluated the work done in the brothers' archives. SSCC deaths during the Paris Commune.
They also planned the work to be developed in the coming months around pastoral discernment, against the backdrop of the Founders' experience. Andrzej Lukawski recounted the cause of the Founders and the SSCC brothers who were shot during the Paris Commune.
Furthermore, the Commission is tasked with preparing guidelines for community reflection and worship during significant times. A new edition of the Cahiers de Spiritualité (Notebooks of Spirituality, on the vows of religious) is also being considered.
At the end of the meeting, the group celebrated the Eucharist together with the community, followed by a typical Italian dinner with pizza.
