Eucharistic celebrations without the presence of the faithful began on March 22nd, when social isolation began in Belo Horizonte. Initially, masses were held on Sundays, but later expanded to every day of the week.
At the end of June, the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte issued some recommendations for when in-person masses would resume. Some churches began to receive people, but the number of infected people began to grow alarmingly at the beginning of July. Therefore, the bishop responsible for the Nossa Senhora da Esperança Episcopal Region, Dom Joaquim Mol, sent a document recommending that masses remain without the presence of the congregation. For this reason, the priests of the Padre Eustáquio church decided to continue holding masses only via YouTube until the pandemic situation improves in the capital of Minas Gerais.
The schedule remains as follows:
– Masses: Every day at 6 PM and on Sundays also at 10 AM;
– Liturgical Ping-Pong or Family Rosary: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 10 am;
