Father Vinicius Maciel, SS.CC, responsible for the Cause of Canonization of Blessed Father Eustáquio; and the Cause's communications manager, Marcelo Silveira, participated in a virtual meeting convened by the General Communications team of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts in Rome (Italy). In addition, communication coordinators from the Provinces and Regions of the Congregation (SSCC) in the Hispanic world also participated in the meeting.
The initiative, organized by Noemí García, SS.CC, and Fernando Cordero, SS.CC, who are responsible for communication at the general level, aims to create a space for dialogue and coordination with those who work directly in different local contexts. This first meeting was specifically aimed at communicators among brothers and sisters who speak Spanish and Portuguese.
The meeting included a moment of prayer, followed by introductions of the participants and the work they do in their respective areas. In addition, some guidelines were shared to improve coordination between the teams, as well as reflections on the Pope's Message for the World Day of Social Communications, entitled "Safeguarding Human Voices and Faces".
The meeting took place on March 19th via the Zoom platform. This initiative is expected to strengthen internal communication and promote greater collaboration among the different secretariats, provinces, and regions. A general assembly of the entire Congregation will be organized soon.
