Postulants of the Sacred Hearts visit the Padre Eustáquio Museum in Poá/SP.

This week, the Padre Eustáquio Museum in Poá, in Greater São Paulo, received a visit from seminarians from Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais belonging to the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts. Accompanied by Father Ricardo, the postulants had the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Vicar of Poá, exploring the photos, documents, and liturgical objects in the museum's collection.

The visit provided the seminarians, who are currently at the Formation House in Pindamonhangaba-SP, with an immersion in the rich religious and cultural heritage associated with Father Eustáquio. The meeting not only strengthened spiritual ties but also offered valuable learning about the trajectory and influence of the Vicar of Poá in the community.

About the Padre Eustáquio Museum in Poá

The site, dedicated to preserving documents and objects belonging to the Blessed, was inaugurated in May 2006, in a room in the old Parish Pastoral Center, a building that was demolished for the future expansion of the Main Church.

With the demolition, the City Hall of Poá returned the property of the former São José Convent to the Diocesan Curia, the space where the museum operates today.

The site boasts a large collection that tells the story of Blessed Father Eustace. It includes photos, documents, and liturgical objects used by the Dutch priest.
