Last week, the Dona Paula Home received a very special visit that brought smiles to all the residents: children from the Padre Eustáquio Daycare Center, who charmed the elderly women with their lively and curious presence.
These moments of interaction between different age groups are precious and have a significant impact on the well-being and happiness of everyone involved. For older women, the energy of children brings a sense of vitality and joy, while for children, the opportunity to interact with older people is a unique chance to learn and share experiences.
The importance of this exchange goes beyond mere entertainment. It promotes fundamental values such as respect, empathy, and appreciation for the different stages of life.
Dona Paula's Home
Lar Dona Paula is a long-term care facility for elderly women in vulnerable social situations. The facility has a team committed to the quality of life of the elderly women, working with care and respect for the residents and their families.
Currently, the facility, maintained by the São Vicente de Paula Society, cares for approximately 35 elderly women and relies on partnerships and the community to handle the upkeep of the premises and the care of the residents.
