Students of the Sacred Hearts meet in Minas Gerais.

From July 3rd to July 6th, at the St. Damien of Molokai Postulancy house in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, a meeting was held for young men in formation from the Brazilian province. It was a unique moment of exchanging experiences, formation, and integration based on the theme of the Eucharist, the source and origin of our charism, in the pursuit of reaffirming our belonging and identity as Sacred Hearts.

The reflections were led by the instructors: Fr. Silvano, Fr. Ricardo, and Fr. Edvaldo, interspersed with moments of sharing, prayers, and playful activities, highlighting the family-oriented nature of the children of the Sacred Hearts.

The Eucharist is the center of ecclesial life and a pillar of the Sacred Hearts charism. Through our participation in the body and blood of Christ, we become what we profess, we become the body, participants in the sacrifice of Christ, and thus living offerings to Christ and to the people of God. To be a child of the Sacred Hearts is to be aware that our identity lies in conforming our being to the sacred hearts of Jesus and Mary, placing ourselves in communion with the needs of the present time.

Reparative adoration is a commitment to the sacramental heart of Christ, but also to the hearts of our suffering brothers and sisters. Just as Mary, in her sacred heart, fully lived the designs of her Son, as a perfect disciple in service to her brothers and sisters, we are called, following her example, imbued with the love of the Good Master's heart, to witness to the good news of Christ to everyone. A witness that goes beyond beautiful words. A witness perceptible in the daily life of our Sacred Hearts.
