Five catechism classes from the Maria Serva do Senhor Parish, in the Alípio de Melo neighborhood, northwest region of Belo Horizonte, visited the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, the Church of Blessed Father Eustáquio, on the morning of last Saturday (July 1st). About 80 children participated in the visit.
Students and catechists arrived at the Sanctuary around 9 am and were welcomed by Brother Vanildo Lima Sena, SSCC, at the Community Center. After hearing a bit about the history of the place, the catechumens visited the important points of the temple.
At the Father Eustáquio Memorial, where the priest's tomb is located, the children learned the meaning of each feature of the place: the stained glass windows, the shapes, contours, and the tomb itself. In addition, they learned about the history of the Blessed, whose death will mark its 80th anniversary in August.
In addition to being delighted with the visit, the rector and community of the Sanctuary are grateful for the friendship and prayers of Father Gleicion Adriano Silva, parish priest of the Parish of Mary, Servant of the Lord. May Blessed Father Eustace intercede for you all and your prayers.
