Vice-Postulator meets with Postulator General in Rome

Father Marcus Vinícius Maciel, SSCC, Vice-Postulator of the Cause for Canonization of Father Eustáquio, met this week with the Procurator General and Postulator of the processes of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, Father Andrzej Lukawski, SSCC, at the Congregation's headquarters in Rome, Italy. The two discussed the progress of Father Eustáquio's Canonization process.

Father Vinícius was received at the General House of the Brothers by the Superior, Father Alberto Toutin, SSCC, and then he met with the Postulator for a conversation of just over an hour. Several points of the Canonization process were clarified, and the way everything should be done at this stage was aligned between the two representatives of Father Eustáquio's Cause.

The canonization of Father Eustace now depends on the approval of one more miracle by the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints in the Vatican. All procedures established by the Holy See are being followed so that Father Eustace will soon be declared a Saint by the Catholic Church.
