Missionary Childhood holds pre-Congress at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace

This weekend, the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of Health and Peace, the Church of Blessed Father Eustáquio, will host the pre-Congress of Missionary Childhood and Adolescence. The event precedes the 7th State Meeting, which will also take place at the Sanctuary in July. Around 100 children and teenagers active in the archdiocese are expected to attend.

Scheduled for this Sunday, May 7th, the pre-congress will feature lectures, recreational activities, celebrations, and plenty of sharing of experiences among children and teenagers participating in the IAM Movement in the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte.

During the event, there will be a Consecration of the children to Our Lady, as is customary for those who have been involved in the IAM (Infancy and Adolescence Missionary) for at least a year. Those who have already been consecrated renew their commitments to the Church and to evangelization among other children.

To conclude the event, everyone is invited to participate in the Holy Mass at 10:00 AM, which will be broadcast on the Padre Eustáquio Channel on YouTube.

The pre-Congress is a preparation for the 7th State Meeting, which will take place between July 21st and 23rd, also at the Sanctuary in Belo Horizonte-MG. The July event will have as its theme: “The joy of communion in mission” and as its motto: “Burning hearts, feet on the way” (Lk 24:32-33). The event will include children from the Missionary Childhood and Adolescence program from various parts of the state.
