It was during the Holy Mass held at the Sanctuary of Health and Peace, Church of Blessed Father Eustace, last Sunday, March 12th, that the members of the Sanctuary's Vocational Pastoral team were presented. The team is composed of postulants of the Sacred Hearts and volunteers who seek to awaken religious vocations in young people.

Vocational Year

2023 was established as the Year of Vocations for the Church in Brazil. The celebrations began in November of last year and will continue until November of this year. The initiative commemorates the 40th anniversary of the first thematic year dedicated to reflection, prayer, and the promotion of vocations in the country.

The choice of theme was inspired by the Final Document of the Synod of Bishops on “Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment”. This year's theme is “Vocation: Grace and Mission” and the motto is “Burning heart, feet on the way” (cf. Lk 24:32-33).

Prayer for the Year of Vocations 2023

“Lord Jesus, sent by the Father and anointed by the Holy Spirit, who makes hearts burn and feet set out on the path, help us to discern the grace of your call and the urgency of the mission. Continue to enchant families, children, adolescents, young people and adults, so that they may be able to dream and dedicate themselves, with generosity and vigor, to the service of the Kingdom, in your Church and in the world. Awaken new generations to the vocation to lay ministries, to Marriage, to Consecrated Life and to Ordained Ministries. Mary, Mother, Teacher and Missionary Disciple, teach us to hear the Gospel of Vocation and to respond with joy.”.
